Boardroom Show Japan

Our friends at Maneuverline conceived of bringing our beloved Boardroom Show to their home country of Japan. The event came together on May 17 & 18 at the Tokyo Ryutsu Center in spectacular fashion. We spent a week on site, visiting clients, and then were joined for the weekend by Boardroom Show director Scott Bass and California shapers Wayne Rich, Chris Christenson, Josh Hall, Jack Sabala, and Florida’s Ricky Carroll.

The show centered around a shaping competition, where local shapers competed to replica one of Kanoa Igarashi’s Sharp Eye shortboards. Wayne Rich, Chris Christenson, and Ricky Carroll also spent time in the bay to shape a collaboration board; an 8′ channel bottom single fin.

We were honored to be involved and owe a huge thanks to Maneuverline for making it happen. Here a few moments from the weekend. Enjoy!
